The Norwegian Aviation Museum is a national competence centre for aviation history.

We continually work to increase our knowledge about Norwegian aviation history and to spread this knowledge to a wide audience. Research at the museum is primarily focused on studying the impact of aviation on the development of Norwegian society over the past 100 years.

Research is a key aspect of our activities, and we collaborate with several other research institutions, both in Norway and abroad.  In addition, there is a dearth of previous research on aviation history, making this an important field for further study.
